Il Canale Roeselare-Leie è una via d'acqua artificiale tra la città di Roeselare e il fiume Leie. È lungo 16,5 chilometri ed è stato scavato in 10 anni, tra il 1862 e il 1872. Il canale ha creato molte opportunità di lavoro. Navi cariche di grano, sabbia e altri prodotti di base navigavano nel canale per rifornire le aziende sulle rive del canale.
