Thorembais-les-Béguines è uno dei villaggi più pittoreschi della comune fusa di Perwez. Sette maestose fattorie della piazza brabançonne, ristrutturate e ben mantenute, testimoniano di un'intensa attività agricola. Come il vicino villaggio di Thorembais-Saint-Trond, Thorembais-les-Béguines prende il nome dal fiume Thorembais. Le beguine fanno riferimento a un antico beghinaggio fondato nel XIII secolo da Santa Ode. Un tempo il villaggio si chiamava Thorembais Saint-Martin. È soprattutto conosciuta per i suoi vigneti: il più grande del Brabante vallone, con due ettari di vigne. L'azienda di Mellemont si estende attualmente su 3,6 ettari di vigne poiché due ettari aggiuntivi sono stati piantati nel 2005 da tre soci di questo villaggio.
