Il 24 giugno 1912, il parroco Heylen presentò all'allora amministrazione comunale la richiesta per "l'acquisto di un appezzamento di terreno situato in Molenstraat tra il giardino del vecchio convento disabitato e il giardino del nuovo convento, per costruirvi una scuola gratuita per ragazze". Già nel luglio 1912 iniziarono i lavori per la costruzione della scuola con tre classi e un convento annesso per le suore, il tutto secondo il progetto di J. Taeymans. Il complesso fu registrato nel catasto nel 1913.
