Osservando, mentre attraversavamo la strada, il piccolo cartello con i due nomi della strada: in francese e in vallone. Tuttavia, la Nåssårowe si riferisce esclusivamente al piccolo vicolo. Il nome ha prodotto molte spiegazioni strane. È infatti, come in molti luoghi, un derivato di un nome proprio, Ansonrue (Rue d’Anselme), che designava il proprietario dei terreni in questo vicolo.
