Notice, while walking down the street, the small sign indicating the two names of the street: in French and in Walloon. The Nåssårowe exclusively refers to the little alley. Its name has given rise to numerous fanciful explanations. In fact, as in many places, it is derived from a proper name, Ansonrue (Rue d’Anselme), which referred to the owner of the land located in this alley. The same goes for the Chaussée des Prés, which is named after the landowners of the place: the family des Prés. Illu: Rue Chaussée des Prés in 1919
