Anche questi prati si colorano di giallo e rosa in primavera con fiori di ranuncolo, fiori di cuculo e grande rattone. Il rilievo delle dune di terra e delle sponde è molto evidente. La fitta rete di fossati ha il Meersbeek come corso d'acqua centrale ed è stata realizzata durante i primi secoli medievali. Marmotte, ermellini, faine, donnole e da alcuni anni anche volpi e caprioli trovano qui casa. Uccelli tipici delle praterie come pavoni, anatre selvatiche, anatre crestate, anatre alzavola e pispoli gialli nidificano nell'area.
