La maestosa cupola dell'altrettanto maestoso Palazzo di Dio domina l'intera vista del villaggio di Sint-Laureins. L'edificio fu costruito per fungere da orfanotrofio. Presto vi fu ospitato un monastero.
Dal 1992 l'edificio giaceva in uno stato di abbandono terribile. Fortunatamente, alcuni anni fa due coraggiosi sviluppatori hanno acquistato l'edificio e sono iniziate difficili opere di restauro. Oggi, nell'imponente edificio sono state allestite diverse sale per eventi.
