La Thure è un piccolo fiume che ha origine a nord del villaggio di Grandrieu, nel Condroz occidentale. Attraversa una piccola parte del dipartimento del Nord prima di riapparire in territorio belga nel comune di Erquelinnes, dove confluisce con la Sambre al mulino di Solre. Il suo corso è orientato principalmente da sud a nord. Il tratto di valle che si trova a Bersillies-l'Abbaye presenta diversi habitat interessanti: prati umidi, stagni, gallerie rivulari di ontani, ecc. Il sito ospita diverse specie di anfibi tra cui il minacciato tritone crestato (Triturus cristatus). Sulla riva del fiume si osservano molto frequentemente il martin pescatore (Alcedo atthis) e più raramente il cinclo tuffatore (Cinclus cinclus). Due piccoli terreni denominati "Champs de Neutremont" sono di proprietà delle Riservi Naturali RNOB, il resto della zona è incluso in un sito Natura 2000.
