Nel rinnovamento di Machelen-dorp nel 2011 sono state collocate in diverse località le 'pali dell'infinito' dell'artista Roger Raveel, tra cui all'inizio della Dorpsstraat, sulla Piazza G.J. Imschoot davanti al complesso culturale e ricreativo de Guldepoort, presso il Raveelmuseum e presso l'ex abitazione/atelier dell'artista, nel giardino dell'atelier dell'artista scomparso.
