Già dal 13° secolo qui si trovava una semplice cappella, che rientrava nella Wewelerkirche. Nel 1621 Balthasar von Pallandt fece costruire una nuova cappella in questo luogo, ma l'aspetto che conosciamo oggi fu definito nel 1771, quando la chiesa fu commissionata da Balthasar vol. Pallandt secondo il progetto dell'architetto Ferdinand Starck. La chiesa è quasi sempre aperta. Vale sicuramente la pena dare un'occhiata all'interno. Particolarmente interessante è il mausoleo in marmo nero di Theux del maestro Balthasar von Pallandt e l'altare barocco.
