Il 20 agosto 1914 , il 1er RAC - Régiment d'Artllerie de Campagne - dell'esercito imperiale tedesco uccise 11 civili e distrusse 21 case nelle atrocità tedesche all'inizio dell'invasione.
Il memoriale commemora le vittime delle due guerre mondiali.
