La sorgente dello Zilverbeek si trova a Waterloo ad un'altezza di 95 metri.
C'è una piccola sorgente in un prato adiacente al Domaine d'Argenteuil e il ruscello riceve l'acqua dall'impianto di trattamento delle acque reflue di Waterloo.
Il torrente è alimentato naturalmente da acque superficiali che defluiscono in un ambiente costituito da prati e boschi. Attraversa la Roselière de Gaillemarde e la tenuta di Jolimont , dove riceve anche l'acqua del Ruisseau des Fonds des Ails . È già un piccolo fiume che attraversa il Domaine Régional du Parc Solvay e poi il Domaine Swift per passare, dopo la zona del "Pont Cassé", lungo il Grand Etang di La Hulpe.
"La Hulpe" deriva dalla parola celtica "La Helpe" che in francese significa "Rivière d'argent" . Quindi l'argentino e La Hulpe...
Il fiume segue il suo corso nel Bois Hennessy e poi aggira il lago Genval prima di unirsi al Lasne.
