Chiesa alla Croce di Pietra: Fede contro la febbre
In questo luogo sorgeva fin dal XVI secolo un crocifisso, probabilmente su un antico luogo di culto. La sua base in ardesia è ancora presente.
Nel 1925 è stata costruita l'attuale cappella esagonale, succedendo a una precedente visibile già nelle carte del XIX secolo.
Sopra l'ingresso è inciso: “1524 Onora la Croce di Cristo – Abbiate pace in casa – 1925.”
La cappella è stata a lungo un luogo di pellegrinaggio contro la febbre. I fedeli vi pregavano, legavano nastri rossi attorno al crocifisso e benedicevano i malati con acqua benedetta – un rituale conosciuto come “legare la febbre.”
La vicina Chiesa del Santo Crocefisso (1935) è stata dedicata a questa cappella.
