Il vecchio ponte Thur a otto campate attraversa il Thur a sud-ovest del centro della città di Bischofszell. È anche chiamato il Ponte Storto perché la sua pianta ha alcuni nodi in modo che i pilastri possano essere fondati sul Nagelfluhfelsen nel letto del fiume. Il ponte in tufo e arenaria, lungo 116 metri, è il ponte in pietra naturale più lungo della Svizzera conservato dal Medioevo.
Già nell'Alto Medioevo, c'era un ponte di legno più a monte dello Stegwiese. La prima testimonianza scritta di questo ponte risale al 1325.
