Lo Stadtbach o Jona-Kanal è un affluente canalizzato del Jona, un fiume nei cantoni svizzeri di Zurigo e San Gallo, che prende il nome dall'omonimo villaggio.
All'inizio del 14° secolo, i cittadini di Rapperswil costruirono la prima fontana vicino alla piazza principale. Era alimentato da "panni" di legno che conducevano l'acqua per oltre quattro chilometri dal Tägernau vicino a Jona al centro storico di Rapperswil. I teuchel erano tronchi d'albero scavati, di solito larici o pini, che venivano abbattuti e perforati in inverno. Nel "Teuchelweiher" di fronte alle mura orientali della città, i tubi di legno finiti sono stati conservati fino a quando non sono stati utilizzati.
