Il Katastrophenbucht è una baia sul lago di Zugo nella città di Zugo. Il suo nome deriva da una catastrofe su una parte della costa chiamata Vorstadt, in cui la riva del lago si ruppe il 5 luglio 1887 e allagò gli edifici residenziali.
Il Katastrophenbucht è lungo circa 150 metri e si estende per circa 70 metri verso la costa. Comprende un viale e un muro che si estende sulla costa. [1] Copre l'area del ponte Vorstadtbrücke, che è fiancheggiato a ovest del molo Zug Bahnhofsteg della società Zugersee Schifffahrt e ad est del Rigiecke. Fa parte del viale Vorstadt.
