La cappella della battaglia di Sempach si trova sopra la città di Sempach nel cantone di Lucerna in Svizzera sulla strada per Hildisrieden. Fu costruito nel 1472/73 per commemorare la battaglia di Sempach del 9 luglio 1386, in cui le truppe di Lucerna e della Svizzera centrale sconfissero un esercito asburgico guidato dal duca Leopoldo d'Austria. La cappella è dedicata a San Giacomo il Vecchio.
Secondo la leggenda, un memoriale fu eretto sul luogo in cui cadde il duca Leopoldo, ma non ci sono prove di questo. La cappella attuale fu costruita nel 1472/73. A causa degli strati di intonaco trovati, si concludono quattro fasi di costruzione. Durante gli scavi del 1983/84, sono stati trovati i resti di un edificio precedente più piccolo, che sorgeva nell'area dell'attuale coro.
