La Hohensyburg, nota anche come Syburg, è la rovina di un castello situato a circa 245 metri sul livello del mare, sopra il punto di confluenza tra il fiume Ruhr e la Lenne, nel lago artificiale di Hengsteysee, nel quartiere di Syburg a Dortmund. La Hohensyburg è una meta popolare per le escursioni. Tra le altre attrazioni ci sono la Torre di Vincke, il Monumento ai Caduti e il Monumento a Kaiser Wilhelm. Nelle vicinanze si trovano dal 1952 il Palcoscenico Naturale Hohensyburg e dal 1985 anche il Casinò Hohensyburg. L'area circostante è designata e protetta come riserva naturale delle scogliere del Ruhr di Hohensyburg. Il Sentiero minerario di Syburg esplora i resti dell'estrazione mineraria moderna. Il castello è registrato come monumento archeologico nell'elenco dei monumenti della città di Dortmund.
