Gundelsheim è una città nel distretto di Heilbronn, nel nord della Baden-Württemberg caratterizzato dalla cultura franche. Appartiene alla regione Heilbronn-Franken e alla zona periferica della regione metropolitana europea di Stoccarda. A causa della sua appartenenza secolare all'Ordine Teutonico, si fa chiamare città dell'Ordine Teutonico. Attraverso la città passa la strada dei castelli, una strada turistica che va dalla Germania alla Repubblica Ceca, sotto il castello.
