Klietz è un comune nel distretto di Stendal nella Sassonia-Anhalt. Fa parte della comunità di associazione Elbe-Havel-Land, che ha la sua sede amministrativa nel comune di Schönhausen.
Il territorio comunale di Klietz si trova sul bordo nord-occidentale della regione di Schollene, un arco morenico ricco di foreste che si estende per 30 chilometri tra i fiumi Elba e Havel, che scorrono parallelamente. Tra Klietz e l'Elba, che forma il confine occidentale del comune, si trovano le ampie aree alluvionali, percorse da numerosi fossati; sulla sponda opposta dell'Elba si trova la cittadina di Arneburg. Parte della Klietzer Heide e della Ferchelschen Heide a est e sud-est di Klietz sono state utilizzate per decenni come campo di addestramento per le truppe.
