Berghaupten è un comune nella parte occidentale della Foresta Nera in Baden-Württemberg e fa parte del distretto di Ortenau.
Il centro turistico riconosciuto dallo Stato di Berghaupten si trova nel nord-ovest della Foresta Nera Centrale, a un'altitudine compresa tra 170 e 438 metri, nella tranquilla posizione del Kinzigtal, leggermente distaccato dalla strada federale 33 che attraversa la valle. È il secondo comune più piccolo del distretto di Ortenau per superficie ed è un comune portale del Parco Naturale della Foresta Nera Centro/Nord.
