Il 1° luglio 1972 sono stati incorporati i comuni di Breitenhees, Kallenbrock, Nettelkamp e Nienwohlde. Facevano parte di Stadensen anche Hamborg e Klein London, oltre al luogo abitato di Streuberg. Il 1° novembre 2011 il comune è stato sciolto e unito a Wrestedt e Wieren per formare il nuovo comune di Wrestedt.
Attraverso il territorio comunale passano la strada federale 4 Amburgo–Braunschweig e la strada federale 191 Celle–Uelzen.
