Scavi archeologici condotti nel 2012 in occasione della costruzione del nuovo viadotto autostradale Lahntalbrücke Limburg hanno portato alla scoperta di un piccolo insediamento del neolitico. Infatti i frammenti di vasi ritrovati risalgono a circa 5000 anni fa.
