Salzgitter-Bad è il secondo più grande dei 31 quartieri della città libera di Salzgitter in Bassa Sassonia, situato nella località di Süd, ed è il quartiere che dà il nome alla città di Salzgitter, fondata il 1° aprile 1942, che fino al 23 gennaio 1951 si chiamava Watenstedt-Salzgitter.
Il quartiere attuale "Salzgitter-Bad" si chiamava fino al 1951 solamente "Salzgitter" ed era fino al 1942 una cittadina dell'allora distretto di Goslar. Il quartiere ha un'area di circa 19,284 km².
