L'abbazia di Eberbach era un'abbazia cistercense situata nei pressi di Eltville sul Reno nel Rheingau. Con i suoi edifici in stile romanico e gotico, appartiene ai monumenti più significativi della Germania. Nell'inverno 1985-86 vi furono girate quasi tutte le scene in interni del film Il nome della rosa.
