La Lenne è il fiume secondario più lungo della Ruhr. Il fiume ha origine presso la cima del Kahler Asten a Winterberg nel Sauerland, a un'altezza di 819 metri. La Lenne sfocia nella Ruhr a Hagen dopo un tragitto di 128 chilometri. Con una portata media di 25 metri cubi al secondo, il fiume è il più grande affluente della Ruhr. Dopo la confluenza dei due fiumi, la portata della Ruhr è quasi raddoppiata.
