Lenne er den længste biflod til Ruhr. Floden udspringer ved toppen af Kahler Asten nær Winterberg i Sauerland på en højde af 819 meter. Lenne munder efter en løbetur på 128 kilometer ud i Ruhr ved Hagen. Med en gennemsnitlig strømningshastighed på 25 kubikmeter pr. sekund er floden den største biflod til Ruhr. Efter sammensmeltningen af de to floder er strømningshastigheden i Ruhr næsten fordoblet.
