Il Hammersee è un lago interno formatosi nel 1932 a causa di un'onda di tempesta sull'isola frisone di Juist, che si trova nel distretto di Aurich in Bassa Sassonia.
È il più grande lago d'acqua dolce su un'isola del Mare del Nord. Il bacino idrico si trova nel terzo occidentale del lungo e stretto corpo dell'isola, a ovest del villaggio di Loog. Il nome del lago suggerisce la sua origine. "Hammer", dall'antico frisone "Hammrich", è una zona di pascolo utilizzata in comune.
