La casa Kemnade è un castello d'acqua nel quartiere Blankenstein di Hattingen. Il suo nome - derivato dalla parola "Kemenate" - indica che la sede nobiliare si differenziava dalle fattorie circostanti per almeno un camino in muratura.
Fino al 1486, la proprietà si trovava sulla riva settentrionale della Ruhr nel territorio di Stiepeler. Dopo un'alluvione in quell'anno, però, il fiume cambiò corso verso nord, così che la casa Kemnade da allora si trova separata dal paese nelle zone umide meridionali della Ruhr. A lungo è stata accessibile solo tramite un traghetto, fino a quando nel 1928 fu costruito l'attuale ponte Kemnader.
