L'area naturale protetta di Mastbruch si trova nel quartiere Mengede di Dortmund, nella Renania Settentrionale-Vestfalia, Germania. L'area naturale protetta di Mastbruch è stata designata il 19 giugno 1986 dal governo distrettuale di Arnsberg attraverso una misura di salvaguardia temporanea. L'area naturale protetta è stata inclusa nel piano paesaggistico di Dortmund-Nord il 30 novembre 1990 ed è rimasta invariata anche nella prima modifica del piano paesaggistico di Dortmund-Nord del 2 settembre 2005. È parte della Foresta di Rahmer. La confinante tenuta Rittergut Schloss Westhusen ha utilizzato quest'area fino al XVIII secolo per l'allevamento di maiali. Le querce e i faggi che crescono qui, con le loro ghiande e frutti di faggio, hanno servito temporaneamente fino a 100 maiali domestici come fonte di cibo. Da questo allevamento di maiali deriva il vecchio nome del luogo Mastbroich, probabilmente anche il nome del luogo Im Marsch.
