Il canale Coevorden-Piccardie collega il canale Sud-Nord a Georgsdorf, situato a nord di Nordhorn nella contea di Bentheim in Bassa Sassonia, con il canale olandese Stieltjeskanaal a Coevorden.
Il canale fa parte della rete canaliera della Bassa Sassonia, costruita tra il 1870 e il 1904. I primi sforzi per la costruzione del canale risalgono al pastore Johan Picardt nel 1647. I lavori di costruzione del canale iniziarono nel 1870, ma furono completati solo nel 20° secolo. Oltre al trasporto merci per navi con una capacità di carico fino a 200 tonnellate, il canale serviva anche per il drenaggio delle paludi. È stato gradualmente chiuso a partire dal 1965 a causa del volume di traffico insufficiente. Le ponti costruiti nel frattempo, troppo bassi, e le chiuse non più funzionanti rendono il canale navigabile solo per scopi di drenaggio.
