La stazione di Coblenza-Ehrenbreitstein è l'unica stazione sulla riva destra del Reno della grande città renana di Coblenza. Si trova lungo la linea ferroviaria della riva destra del Reno, ai piedi dell'Ehrenbreitstein, nel quartiere omonimo, direttamente sul Reno.
Negli anni 1859 e 1860, il governo prussiano e quello nassauense concordarono la costruzione di una linea di collegamento tra Ehrenbreitstein e Oberlahnstein. A Oberlahnstein era prevista una connessione con la Nassauische Rheinbahn e la Lahntalbahn, attualmente in costruzione. Inoltre, fu stabilito per contratto che sarebbe stata costruita un ponte ferroviario tra Coblenza ed Ehrenbreitstein, e il ducato di Nassau si impegnò a promuovere la costruzione della Lahntalbahn.
