Het station Koblenz-Ehrenbreitstein is het enige station aan de rechteroever van de Rijn in de Rijnland-Palts grote stad Koblenz. Het ligt aan de rechter Rijnoever, aan de voet van Ehrenbreitstein in de gelijknamige wijk, direct aan de Rijn.
In de jaren 1859 en 1860 kwamen de Pruisische en de Nassause regering overeen om een verbinding aan te leggen tussen Ehrenbreitstein en Oberlahnstein. In Oberlahnstein was er aansluiting op de in aanleg zijnde Nassause Rijnlijn en Lahntalbahn. Bovendien werd contractueel vastgelegd dat er een spoorbrug tussen Koblenz en Ehrenbreitstein zou worden gebouwd, en het hertogdom Nassau verplichtte zich om de bouw van de Lahntalbahn te bevorderen.
