Il cimitero orientale è un cimitero aperto il 1° luglio 1800 come cimitero comunitario delle comunità religiose ebraiche, cattoliche, luterane e riformate a Hamm.
Nel cimitero orientale di Hamm si sono conservate diverse tombe dell'inizio del XIX secolo, tra cui la pietra tombale della famiglia von Rademacher e la lastra tombale del maggiore von Rabenau. Sono inoltre da evidenziare le tombe di numerosi cittadini onorari di Hamm. Un catalogo illustrato fornisce informazioni sulle tombe della parte ebraica. Di fronte all'ingresso principale su Ostenallee si trova il monumento del presidente della Corte Suprema Adalbert Falk.
