Il Museo degli Strumenti Musicali dell'Università di Lipsia è un museo appartenente all'Università di Lipsia. Con oltre 5500 unità di collezione, circa 10.000 oggetti, tra cui si trovano strumenti europei e non europei di grande valore, in particolare pezzi preziosi dell'epoca rinascimentale e barocca, così come della perioda di Bach di Lipsia, occupa una delle prime posizioni a livello mondiale di grande prestigio. Oggi è, dopo il museo di Bruxelles e prima del museo della Cité de la musique a Parigi, il secondo museo di strumenti musicali più grande d'Europa.
Il museo si trova non lontano dal centro di Lipsia, presso il Nuovo Grassimuseum in Johannisplatz. Il museo è stato inserito insieme agli altri due musei al Grassi, il Museo di Etnologia di Lipsia e il Museo delle Arti Applicate, nel Libro Blu del governo federale tra i "fari culturali della Germania orientale".
