Il Museo di Storia Naturale di Lüneburg si trovava dal 1990 al 2010 nel centro storico di Lüneburg ai margini dell'area di abbassamento. Il focus delle esposizioni comprendeva gli habitat naturali locali come foresta, brughiera, torbiera, zone fluviali e città, oltre alla geologia regionale.
Il museo era gestito dall'Associazione Scientifica per il Ducato di Lüneburg del 1851. Il museo è chiuso dal 31 dicembre 2010. Una parte dell'esposizione viene presentata dal 1° marzo 2015 nel Museo di Lüneburg con un nuovo concetto, insieme a oggetti dell'ex museo per il Ducato di Lüneburg e dell'archeologia urbana di Lüneburg.
