Il castello di Schwarzenraben è un castello d'acqua barocco situato presso Lippstadt-Bökenförde. Fu costruito dai baroni von Hoerde tra il 1748 e il 1765 secondo i progetti di Johann Matthias Kitz. I lavori di completamento si sono protratti fino al 1777.
La località "Wambeke" fu menzionata per la prima volta in documenti nel 1031, quando il vescovo di Paderborn Meinwerk confermò di aver donato al monastero di Abdinghof una parte delle sue eredità, a cui apparteneva anche Wambeke. Il nome significa "insediamento presso il ruscello con poca acqua". Verso la fine del Medioevo, Wambeke si era trasformata in una corte signorile isolata grazie a una politica economica astuta ed era stata ampliata in un castello di pianura. La proprietà era divisa in due e nel XV secolo fu concessa alle famiglie Boleke e Vrydach come feudo.
