El castillo de Schwarzenraben es un castillo de agua barroco cerca de Lippstadt-Bökenförde. Fue construido por los barones de Hoerde entre 1748 y 1765 según planos de Johann Matthias Kitz. Los trabajos de restauración se extendieron hasta 1777.
La aldea "Wambeke" fue mencionada por primera vez en un documento en 1031, cuando el obispo de Paderborn Meinwerk confirmó que había donado parte de sus bienes hereditarios, que incluían Wambeke, al monasterio de Abdinghof. El nombre significa algo así como "aldea junto al arroyo de poco caudal". Hacia el final de la Edad Media, Wambeke se había desarrollado, gracias a una hábil política económica, en un señorío aislado y había sido ampliado a un castillo bajo. La propiedad fue dividida en dos y en el siglo XV fue entregada a las familias Boleke y Vrydach como feudos.
