Il parco Königsgrube è un parco in crescita selvaggia nell'area incolta dell'ex miniera Königsgrube. Oggi è utilizzato come area di svago e per varie attività ricreative ed è parte della Route della cultura industriale.
Nel triangolo delle città Bochum, Wanne-Röhlinghausen e Wattenscheid, nel mezzo del 19° secolo, sono sorte le due miniere adiacenti Königsgrube e Hannover. Hannover è stata operativa dal 1854 al 1973, la maggior parte delle strutture di superficie sono state demolite, il Malokowturm e altre strutture sono oggi una sede distaccata del museo industriale LWL. Königsgrube è stata attiva dal 1855 al 1967 ed è stata completamente demolita successivamente. I primi piani prevedevano una discarica e ulteriori edifici residenziali nell'area, ma attraverso un'iniziativa cittadina negli anni '70 è nato il parco per i quartieri circostanti.
