La Haard è un paesaggio collinare di circa 55 km² e situato a un'altezza di 156,9 m sul livello del mare nel parco naturale Hohe Mark, nel nord del distretto di Recklinghausen.
La Haard è una sottounità dell'unità principale naturale Westmünsterland del gruppo delle unità principali della Baia di Vestfalia. Viene riunita, insieme alle unità Hohe Mark e Borkenberge, sotto la denominazione di Berge di Haltern.
