Il convento di Varlar, spesso chiamato anche monastero, era un monastero premostratense fondato dai conti di Cappenberg nella Münsterland. Il monastero, trasformato in castello di Varlar, si trova nella frazione di Varlar nel quartiere di Rosendahl di Osterwick. La comunità ivi esistente durò dal 1123/24 fino alla secolarizzazione del 1803. Successivamente, il monastero passò in possesso dei conti di Wild e Rheingrafen di Salm, che acquisirono gran parte dell'esteso patrimonio ecclesiastico e divennero anche signori locali per un breve periodo.
