Proßmarke è una frazione del comune di Hohenbucko nel distretto di Elbe-Elster, in Brandeburgo meridionale. Si trova a circa 11 chilometri a nord-est della città di Schlieben, lungo la strada statale 70.
Il villaggio di Fichtwald Proßmarke, dove reperti dell'età del bronzo indicano un insediamento molto più antico, è stato menzionato per la prima volta in documenti ufficiali nel 1376 come "Provismarke". Probabilmente ha ricevuto il suo nome per la posizione vicino al confine con la prefettura di Schlieben. Gravi distruzioni nel villaggio sono conosciute per gli anni 1762, 1765 e 1809.
