Proßmarke is een deelgemeente van de gemeente Hohenbucko in de zuidbrandenburgse Landkreis Elbe-Elster. Het ligt ongeveer 11 kilometer ten noordoosten van de stad Schlieben aan de landweg 70.
Het Fichtwalddorp Proßmarke, waar bronstijdvondsten op een veel eerdere bewoning wijzen, werd voor het eerst in documenten vermeld in het jaar 1376 als "Provismarke". Vermoedelijk ontleende het zijn plaatsnaam aan de grensnabije ligging ten opzichte van de proosdij Schlieben. Zware verwoestingen in het dorp zijn bekend uit de jaren 1762, 1765 en 1809.
