Il Castello di Schönfeld nella comune sassone di Schönfeld fu menzionato per la prima volta come castello d'acqua nel XIII secolo e nel corso dei secoli è stato ulteriormente ampliato. Fino all'inizio del XV secolo, qui risiedeva la casata nobiliare Schönfeld. Le costruzioni risalgono agli anni 1560-1580. Nel 1882, il barone von Burgk acquistò il castello di Schönfeld e lo ristrutturò fino al 1884. Oggi il Castello di Schönfeld è uno dei più importanti castelli in stile neorinascimentale della Sassonia.
Il Castello di Schönfeld si trova a tre chilometri dall'uscita A13 in direzione di Großenhain, nella comune di Schönfeld lungo la B 98. Il castello è raggiungibile con le linee autobus 455 e 456 della società di trasporti Meißen.
