Het kasteel Schönfeld in de Saksische gemeente Schönfeld werd als waterburcht voor het eerst in de 13e eeuw officieel vermeld en in de loop der eeuwen verder uitgebreid. Tot het begin van de 15e eeuw zat hier het adelsgeslacht Schönfeld. De gebouwen dateren uit de jaren 1560 tot 1580. In 1882 verwierf baron von Burgk het Schönfelder kasteel en liet het tot 1884 verbouwen. Tegenwoordig is kasteel Schönfeld een van de belangrijkste neorenaissancestatuskasten van Saksen.
Het kasteel Schönfeld bevindt zich drie kilometer van de A13 afrit in de richting van Großenhain in de gemeente Schönfeld aan de B 98. Het kasteel is bereikbaar met buslijnen 455 en 456 van de vervoersmaatschappij Meißen.
