Un pezzo restante della Westwall (o Siegfriedlinie per gli alleati), una linea di difesa tedesca costruita poco prima e durante la Seconda Guerra Mondiale e lunga oltre 630 km, da Kleef, al confine olandese, fino al confine svizzero. Oltre a bunkers, nidi di mitragliatrici, barriere di filo spinato e campi minati, c'erano anche barriere di cemento contro i carri armati, comunemente chiamate denti di drago.
