Il ponte ad arco di pietra a Premnitz è un ex viadotto ferroviario nel centro ed è considerato un simbolo della piccola città.
All'inizio del XX secolo fu aperta nella allora comunità di Westhavelland una fabbrica di polvere da sparo. Questa si trovava a est dell'Havel e della ferrovia delle città brandeburgiche. Per collegare l'impianto alla via navigabile dell'Havel, fu costruita una scarpata ferroviaria elevata e si attraversò la ferrovia e la strada statale parallela tra Brandeburgo sull'Havel e Rathenow, il successivo Bundesstraße 102 con il ponte ad arco di pietra. I lavori iniziarono nel 1916 e furono completati nel 1918, subito prima della fine della Prima guerra mondiale.
