Il municipio di Dorp è stato l'ex municipio della città un tempo autonoma di Dorp, che oggi è un quartiere di Solingen. L'edificio in stile neorinascimentale, protetto come monumento, è stato costruito dal 1884 al 1885. Dopo che la città di Dorp fu incorporata nella città di Solingen nel 1889, il municipio di Dorp fu dal 1° aprile 1893 al 1° dicembre 1918 la sede del comando distrettuale della Landwehr prussiana. Dal 1922 è un edificio amministrativo dell'azienda vicina Richard Abr. Herder.
