Il Bahnbetriebswerk di Passau è il deposito locomotive che appartiene alla stazione principale di Passau, il Hauptbahnhof.
Il Hauptbahnhof di Passau è stato inaugurato il 1º settembre 1861, con il suo primo deposito. Inizialmente era una stazione terminal fino a quando il tratto lungo 1,5 km sopra il fiume Inn verso la Ferrovia Imperatrice Elisabetta da Wels sul lato austriaco è stato messo in servizio. Questo significava ora che il traffico ferroviario poteva operare da Francoforte sul Meno a Vienna passando per Passau. Questa stazione di confine era ora gestita da due diverse compagnie ferroviarie e l'interesse operativo era generato dal passaggio delle locomotive lì.
