Il Ilsbach, noto anche come Streitbach o Sausel nel corso superiore e medio, è un affluente di destra del Seenbach lungo 20,7 km, situato nel Hohen e Unteren Vogelsberg e al confine orientale con il Vorne Vogelsberg, nel distretto di Vogelsberg, in Assia.
La sorgente chiamata Streitborn si trova a oltre 700 m di altitudine, a soli 900 metri a nord-ovest della vetta di Sieben-Ahorn, nel cosiddetto Oberwald, come viene chiamata la regione montuosa boscosa sopra i 600 m nel Vogelsberg. Da lì, il fiume attraversa il Hohen Vogelsberg in direzioni occidentali e nord-occidentali attraverso vari quartieri di Ulrichstein, per raggiungere infine la grande comunità di Mücke nell'Unterer Vogelsberg e il suo confine occidentale con il Vorne Vogelsberg.
